Good Neighbor or Good Citizen? Wrestling with Religious Pluralism in a Divided Nation

Watch This Forum

March 26, 2024

Emory Student Center

Bottom Floor

The 2024 election cycle is upon us, bringing with it a torrent of contentious debate and never-ending news stories. The media often emphasizes religious differences, which seem only to make our political divisions worse. It’s worth asking: what is the role of religion in American politics today? Should religious diversity and pluralism still be a guiding ideal or does our age of extreme polarization demonstrate the flaws of publicly invoking religious ideals in our politics? These questions have never been more relevant.

Refreshments will follow.
