A conversation on imposter syndrome & faith in academic culture
The feeling of inadequacy and self-doubt is an unfortunate common part of the human experience. This is even true for those in high-achieving institutions like NYU. Dean Wendy Suzuki (NYU) and Nancy Hill (Harvard) will share from their expertise in neuroscience and developmental psychology and from their lived experiences. Explore the phenomenon of “imposter syndrome,” the causes of self-doubt and how we can build confidence. The conversation includes the relevance of our worldviews, spiritual or otherwise, to these issues.

A Conversation on Fragmentation, Reconciliation, and Faith
How did our culture become so fragmented and adversarial? What can the university offer hope for reconciliation in our fragmented culture? What role does faith and humility play in bringing hope for a better future? We will explore these questions and more and hear from the distinguished professors Andra Gillespie of Emory and Jonathan Haidt of NYU.
