Summer Media Intern
Remote, Paid (32 Hours / Week)
Veritas Media is looking for a summer media intern who is detail-oriented, curious, and reliable.
The Veritas Forum is a fast-growing, strategic ministry that partners with Christian thought leaders, professors, campus ministries, and students to engage universities and the broader public with the ideas that shape our lives. Since the first forum event at Harvard in 1992, Veritas Forums have been hosted at more than 200 universities worldwide, engaging more than 800,000 students, faculty, and community members.
Veritas Media is the external communications arm of The Veritas Forum. Under the Veritas Media umbrella, we extend the impact of our campus events through media resources like video and podcast content. Our YouTube channel has over 225,000 subscribers and has over 46 million total lifetime views. Our signature podcast is in the top 1% of all podcasts.
The Media Intern is a fully remote role that will assist the needs of the Veritas Media team on a variety of projects throughout the summer. In addition, the intern will travel to at least one of three events to meet your Veritas colleagues in person and contribute to the event as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to important Veritas Media projects throughout the summer, including:
- Create and update scalable content resources for our Forums work
- Review and rate media content per our internal rating rubric
- Summarize one Veritas scholar book
- Create new podcast episode pages for our website (no prior website experience needed)
- Select and prepare content for publication on YouTube, podcast, and social media
- Complete a summer capstone project focused on campus engagement strategies
- Travel to at least one Veritas Forum event to assist with on-the-ground events work:
- Veritas Institute | Washington, D.C. | May 27-June 1, 2025
- Scholars Summit | Park City, UT | June 23-26, 2025
- Grad Student Summit | Notre Dame, IN | July 7-10, 2025
Qualifications
- Must-Haves
- A passion for Christ grounded in the regular disciplines of Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with other believers in the context of a local church, and a mature and growing faith evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit in your life.
- A student (a rising sophomore, junior, or senior) interested in communications, media, or event planning (perhaps majoring in marketing, communications, design, business, or a related field).
- A desire to work at a values-driven organization, ready to champion and contribute to our five values: faithful innovation, gracious excellence, collaborative learning, joyful service, and assuming the best of others.
- Great communication skills and a collaborative attitude that is comfortable working closely with colleagues on the media team in a remote team.
- An attention to detail, especially a focus on grammar and design.
- Nice-To-Haves
- Experience with The Veritas Forum and/or The Augustine Collective.
- Proficiency with Google Suite tools and database tools like Airtable.
Other Information
- This role is for a college student who is a rising sophomore, junior, or senior.
- This role will report to the Media Production Manager.
- This role is an internship for Summer 2025 only. Start/end dates will be coordinated with the intern. The internship will last 8 weeks. We anticipate a 32-hour work week with Fridays off during non-travel weeks.
- Rate is $16/hour.
