I think there's enough reason to trust God for those ragged edges. And my main reason for doing that is actually the cross. This is God becoming part of suffering. It's not an explanation in the sense of a logical explanation. It's a demonstration.
The significance of humanity does not arise primarily from our material bodies, nor our physical place in the universe, but rather in the value that God himself chooses to place upon us. Why does he choose to do this? It turns out that it has very little to do with who we are or the material stuff we're made of and everything to do with who he is.
I think the most important quality in any person of faith is humility. I don't mean false humility. I mean genuine humility to say, "I don't know for certain." There's a reason why belief is called faith and not certainty.
